Leicester City have reportedly entered the fray for Lazio goalkeeper Christos Mandas who’s also on the shortlist of Manchester City.

The Biancocelesti signed the 22-year-old last summer for just €900,000 from Crete FC. While he initially joined the club as a third-choice custodian, he’s now making a strong claim for the Number One spot, as he’s been very impressive between the spots while filling in for the injured Ivan Provedel over the last couple of months.

Even following the Italian’s recovery, Lazio coach Igor Tudor appears likely to maintain Mandas between the spots for the last two matches of the season. However, the club will have to sort out this situation in the summer, which could see one of the two custodians heading towards the exit door.

According to Il Corriere dello Sport (via La Lazio Siamo Noi), Leicester City are interested in the Greek’s services, thus joining Man City who have already inquired about his availability, considering him a suitable option for their U23 squad.

The Foxes have secured an immediate return to the Premier League, and are looking to bolster their ranks in the summer. In Enzo Maresca, they have a manager who’s all too familiar with Serie A, so Mandas’ exploits have reportedly caught his attention.

The Roman newspaper adds that Lazio have set their price at €15 million. The Greek’s contract is valid until 2028. This season, he has made 14 appearances across all competitions, conceding 14 goals and registering six clean sheets.
